Client & Context

The client commissioned a series of short films for its global kick-off meeting, featuring senior leadership within reimagined scenes inspired by iconic moments from cinema.

The films were designed to energise and engage an international audience, blending cinematic spectacle with self-aware humour. Some sequences leaned into faithful recreations, while others embraced a more playful interpretation.

The result needed to feel polished and ambitious, while remaining appropriate for a corporate conference setting.

The Challenge

The scope was considerable.

Across two months of planning and four days of production, we delivered 29 separate films, each requiring distinct visual identities and environments.

Key considerations included:

  • Working with high-ranking corporate individuals
  • Recreating recognisable cinematic styles
  • Shooting entirely on greenscreen
  • Integrating practical lighting with composited backgrounds
  • Maintaining visual credibility while embracing humour
  • Delivering post-production on a tight turnaround

The most technically complex sequence required 32 individual VFX shots within a single film. The ambition was to produce work that felt cinematic and deliberate — not novelty-driven.

Our Approach

Careful Pre-Visualisation

Extensive pre-production was essential.

AI-supported pre-vis tools were used to explore compositions, lighting direction and environmental layouts before shooting. This allowed for efficient decision-making and clear communication with the client during planning.

While AI provided valuable visualisation support, all final execution relied on controlled cinematography, practical lighting, and disciplined post-production craft.

Performance & Greenscreen Execution

All content was shot on greenscreen, with executives either performing within recreated scenes or composited into them.

Practical lighting was carefully designed to mirror the intended environments, providing realistic interaction between subject and background. This was essential in maintaining credibility once composited.

Working with a skeleton crew allowed us to move efficiently while maintaining a calm, controlled environment suitable for senior stakeholders.

Hybrid Post-Production Workflow

Post-production combined traditional VFX techniques with carefully applied AI tools.

AI was used in selected areas including:

  • Concept development support
  • Environmental generation
  • Shot extension
  • Digital relighting
  • Facial clean-up and refinement

However, outcomes were never left to automation alone. Each shot required manual refinement to ensure consistency, realism and broadcast-level finish.

This hybrid approach allowed for creative ambition within a practical timeframe — without compromising quality.
